COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS

Since the day we first opened our doors, Blarney Castle Oil and Propane has recognized the importance of our community. Through partnerships with organizations such as the Muscular Dystrophy Association, community associations, and Northern Michigan schools, we have worked together to help our neighbors.

Blarney Castle and MDA: Teaming Up to Make a Difference
For more than a decade, Blarney Castle has participated in the Muscular Dystrophy Association’s annual campaign. Through the sales of shamrocks at all EZ Mart locations, we have helped raise money to fight this disease and to help Michigan children who are afflicted. In 2009 alone, our stores raised $58,000 and volunteered at the MDA Telethon and the MDA summer camp.

Java Mountain School Sports Program
Each Fall, the Java Mountain Coffee School Sports Program is offered to local schools to help raise money for school programs. Interested schools are supplied 1,000 twelve-ounce Java Mountain coffee cups and enough coffee beans to make approximately 1,000 cups of coffee. These materials are supplied free of charge to schools. We have supplied more than $12,000 in coffee in the past two years!
